Jenny Bacon: Jenny is originally from Guatemala, and bravely came on her own to the United States in 1979. After settling in San Francisco, she began ministering with young adults at St. Peter's Catholic Church in the Mission District, and became involved in leadership at an Archdiocesan level in the Latino community. The Bacon Family: In 1992, Nate and Jenny were married, sharing a passion and a call to minister among those on the margins. In that same year, Jenny and Nate co-founded the "Comunidad San Dimas" ministry with others from St. Peter's Parish, where Nate now serves as Deacon. Jenny oversees "Casa San Dimas," a transitional home for Latino youth. Nate and Jenny serve as the Directors for the San Francisco InnerChange Community. They have a daughter and a son, and a foster-son who is married and raising his own family in the East Bay.

Nate Bacon: Originally from Washington state, Nate studied at Stanford where he was involved with the Inter-Varsity chapter. Sensing a call to ministry, he began studies at Fuller Seminary, but in his first year there had his world turned upside-down by Isaiah 58. 
Paul & Mariah Nix - Novices
Paul and Mariah lead the Outer Circle Team which are reaching out to the "Gutter Punks" and other homeless youth in the Haight Ashbury District. Paul is originally from a small town in Missouri and Mariah is from Southern California. They met and became good friends at Wheaton College were they graduated. Paul and Mariah have been with the team since the Fall of 2005.

Claire Howard - Novice
Claire joined InnerChange in the summer of 2006 for her internship in Denver, Colorado and was hooked. She likes swing dancing, patchwork things, frolicking and playing with friends on the street. She attended Colorado Chistian University and graduated with her BA in Psychology. She seeks to use her degree to listen well and love as Christ loved. |
Luke & Courtney Burton -Novices
Luke and Courtney Burton both grew up in rural eastern Oregon. They met in high school and married early on in college. Luke and Courtney both attended Eastern Oregon Univesity where Luke got his BA in Sociology, Writing, and Geology and Courtney got her BS in Geography and Art. They most recently lived in Missoula, Montana where Luke got his Masters in Social Work. They love the outdoors, traveling and meeting new people. They joined the Outer Circle team in January of 2007.
 | Jose Penate-Aceves Originally from El Salvador, Jose worked with a Christian base community there during the civil war in the 80's. In 1989 he sought political asylum in the US. Jose met Nate Bacon shortly after arriving in SF. Jose became active working with youth at St. Anthony's Church. In 1995 Nate invited Jose to help him with Comunidad San Dimas' ministry. In 1997 he sensed God's call to full-time ministry with InnerChange. |
 | Celida Penate-Aceves Celida Aceves is originally from Jalisco, Mexico. She immigrated to the US with her daughter Isabel in 1991. For three years she worked at a beauty salon. Then her brothers and sisters invited her to play in their Mariachi Band.& For four years she played guitar and sang in their group. At a church in SF she had a profound encounter with the Lord. Shortly thereafter she got involved at St. Peter's Church. In 1997 she became a Comunidad San Dimas volunteer. In 1998 she sensed God calling her to be an InnerChange missionary and joined full-time. |
Jose & Celida Penate-Aceves: In 2000 they became directors of Comunidad San Dimas. As they worked closely together in ministry, they became close to each other! In 2004 they got married and in December 2006 they celebrated the arrival of their baby daughter. Jose also has a daughter, Yanci, and Celida has a daughter, Isabel.
Sofia Duran- Apprentice
Sofia is from El Salvador and has eight sisters and three brothers. Sofia served as a missionary for 12 years in Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama. For the last 3 years she has volunteered with the Comunidad San Dimas Minisitry (CSD) ministering extensively with youth in juvenile hall and at the probation camps. Now she has responded to God's call to full-time service. She has a heart to listen to young people. In her free time she likes to walk and read; her favorite sport is basketball.
