NieuCommunities apprentices come from a variety of backgrounds,
and they come for different reasons. Some come to NieuCommunities
knowing exactly what they want to do after the experience.
They come primarily to be developed and readied for the mission
ahead…wherever that may be.
Others come with an idea of where God might be taking them next, but the specifics
aren’t yet clear. They join us to test the waters a bit, to taste and
see what missional life is all about, and to allow the community to help them
clarify their calling.
Others join us not knowing at all what lies ahead. They come because they deeply
desire to be used by God to make a difference in their world. They come to
discover God’s dreams for their life and to find a pathway to get there.
If there is a common characteristic among our apprentices, it’s that
they have decided they won't settle for the status quo. They want to
dive in deep and discover what God desires for his church and what role they
are being called to play.

If that sounds like you, NieuCommunities will provide you a place to put your
faith, your ability to live in community, and your capacity to live on mission
to the test each and every day. It’s a place and a time for discovery.
You will learn side-by-side with other sojourners what it takes to follow in
the steps of Jesus.
NieuCommunities is not for everyone. It’s for those who want to carry
on the mission inaugurated by Jesus. It’s for those who want to go deep
with God and live as “sent ones.” Jesus said to his disciples, “As
the father has sent me, so I am sending you” (John 20:21). Our purpose
is to help you do just that…to live as “sent ones.”
Our “alumni” have gone all over the world. Some have gone far from
home to be the presence of Jesus in other cultures. Some have become spiritual
leaders back home in the marketplace. Others have become missional pastors
or core leaders in local churches. They are new kinds of leaders carving out
new communities of faith wherever they go.
If you want to go deep with God, to be shaped in community, and to be readied
