CRM’s Intercession Team exists to champion prayer throughout CRM. We will...   

    1) Pray strategically for CRM and its mission to advance the Kingdom by empowering leaders.

    2) Inspire, equip and resource CRM staff in the discipline, passion and practice of prayer.  We agree with Oswald Chambers: "prayer is the work."

One of our primary goals is to resource and encourage each staff member/family as they develop their own team of personal intercessors* ("Prayer Shield"—Peter Wagner).

*NOTE: This team is not the Personal Intercessors team for each member of CRM. We believe that as a faith community we are individually called to raise up a group of intercessors that will assist us by their committed prayer.

A further goal is to use our website as an educational, inspirational and informational tool:  articles, teachings, devotional writings, prayer quotes, prayer booklists, prayer conferences and speakers. These resources would be accessible throughout CRM and beyond.

Connie Kennemer. Connie and her husband Rex have been on staff with CRM since 1986; prior to that they served as music pastors in a large church in Tucson, Arizona. Connie is a writer, songwriter, speaker and intercessor, using her creative gifts to serve the Body of Christ. Her passion for prayer compelled her to birth CRM’s Intercession Team with the commitment to see CRM become a "praying community." Her challenges with MS and with losing her only son to mental illness have only strengthened her determination to see God at work in a broken world.

"Prayer does not equip us for greater works—prayer is the greater work," says Oswald Chambers. Connie sees this as the driving force behind everything that CRM does related to Kingdom building and making Christ renowned among the nations. She joined Moms In Touch International (prayer for children and schools) at the same time she joined staff. Moms In Touch has been Connie’s "school of prayer" and has provided her experience in the basics of prayer and leadership skills that she uses today in directing CRM’s Intercession Team.
