Hugh & Cheryl Halter - hugh.halter@crmleaders.org

An "advocate," according to Webster, is a person who supports, speaks in favor of, and pleads on behalf of another. This definition helps give a picture of the cosmic joke God has played on Hugh.

Those who know him always refer to the uncomfortable life Hugh has led listening to, living with, and trying help people understand the plight of the "spiritually curious but unchurched" person.

His wife Cheryl has made the comment that "if God hadn't called Hugh to pastor and plant churches, he may never actually go to church!" Yet, through CRM Hugh has a place to continue to live out his passion to create church where it doesn't exist and help those in the church understand how to keep saints together in mission while deeply connecting spiritual sojourners into our journey with Christ.

Hugh now helps direct Missio and a local network of missional communities in Denver.

Matt & Maren Smay - matt.smay@crmleaders.org

Matt's leadership experience includes 11 years of incarnational urban ministry, including church planting among at risk youth and in-depth mentoring and coaching of emerging leaders.
