Our Approach

 

Coaching

We come alongside  and build coaching relationships with new and existing leaders of urban churches and new church starts to:

  • Help them clarify their calling

  • Help them assess and develop an effective strategy for reaching their cities

  • Provide strategic coaching as they attempt to transition their churches into multiethnic ministry.


Developing

We discover, develop, and deploy new leaders out of local urban contexts from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds who:

  • Will be able to effectively lead their ministries into holistic mission with spiritual depth and a clear sense of calling from God

  • Will be able to minister effectively in multiethnic settings

  • Will explore new expressions of the church that are contextually appropriate for ethnically diverse urban areas


Partnering

  • We develop and facilitate learning networks for urban pastors of all ethnic and economic backgrounds that will provide mutual encouragement, support, and community-based learning.

  • We seek to form partnerships between leaders of existing urban churches to more effectively work together to transform their cities.


Resourcing

We seek to develop and provide resources that will equip pastors and leaders of urban churches with the skills necessary to carry out holistic mission in their diverse communities.

    Examples include:

  • Multiethnic team training
  • Leadership training manuals
  • Training events 
  • Books


Intervention

  • We perform diagnostic assessments for churches in crisis, transition, or plateau that are looking for insights into their current reality and an intentional plan to move forward

  • We occasionally serve as intentional interim pastors for churches in transition or crisis

  • We assist churches and other Christian organizations to more effectively break down racial and ethnic tensions and facilitate racial healing and transformation in their organizations through:

             o    Racial reconciliation training sessions and seminars
             o    Organizational assessment and training in matters of diversity
