Our Dream

Our dream is to see:

  • Entire cities spiritually, socially, racially, and economically transformed by the power of the Gospel.

  • Local churches working together, not against one another, to bring about justice to the poor, the oppressed, and the marginalized; as well as sight to the spiritually blind.

  • Local churches serving as prophetic signs of the Kingdom. As they live out the good news of the Kingdom of God, every barrier that divides will be removed in Christ—when the new humanity (Eph. 2:15) is lived out through multiethnic churches as they model racial, cultural, economic, and spiritual unity in every city in America.

“…the church in the New Testament was a new community. The members of this new community transcended all earthly barriers--language, culture, socioeconomic status, nationality, vocation, and occupation….This image of the church challenges cities that are filled with such diversity. This biblical image of the church should translate into our modern society nicely. That translation might require forms in different circumstances. It will certainly require a church that is incarnational in its lifestyle….It is probably multiethnic and multi-socioeconomic and may be multilingual. It takes on issues of injustice--such as racism, sexism, and oppression--as part of its core values. The new community model is prophetic in that it speaks against evil and social injustice.”
