CRM - Empowering Leaders
CRM has the largest representation in Cambodia with a newly formed International team, and an InnerCHANGE team that was established in 1994.
During the Pol Pot regime, everything that kept civil society together was destroyed. Serving primarily in Phnom Penh and Kompong Cham, we believe that part of our work in Cambodia is the "reweaving" of Cambodian society. This is being accomplished in many diverse ways.
For example, CRM staff work with the national education system and with the teachers of the local high school to help empower these leaders who are investing in the next generation.
Sunrise, an AIDS hospice, has been established for those who don’t have family to care for them after the local hospital has released them.
We also administrate and serve in a health and dental clinic, offering care for those who wouldn’t normally be able to afford it. A drug-prevention program has also been launched.
Leadership training with Cambodian pastors, one-on-one discipleship with young men, neighborhood ministries, rural pastor training and spiritual development are also part of our work here. Whether we’re working toward meeting physical, mental or spiritual needs, our focus is to make room for the love of Christ to transform people’s lives.
