CRM - Empowering Leaders

The US is generally regarded by the rest of the world as a country with a distinctly Christian influence. That’s understandable, given the myriad of Christian resources, visibility of churches and the majority of the population that has some roots in the Christian tradition.

But the truth is, the US population is overwhelmingly a post-Christian, secular and increasingly postmodern culture. It’s a society that is cynical about things overtly “Christian” although sympathetic and attracted to genuine spirituality. What is most needed is Jesus being lived out in word and deed by those who bear his name.

And so it is that although CRM ministers in more than 20 countries worldwide, its largest team serves in the US. By most criteria, the US is increasingly a legitimate mission field to which most nations would have sent missionaries in preceding generations.

CRM began in the US in 1980. Today, teams with CRM’s usMinistries serve throughout the nation and InnerCHANGE teams are present in three additional urban centers.

While InnerCHANGE staff live and work among the poor and marginalized, the usMinistries teams work broadly with leaders, both on the local church and denominational levels, helping invigorate the Christian movement with a sense of missionality and vision.
