Counseling

The SDCTeam also provides counseling (individual, marital and family), MK/TCK (Third-Culture Kid) issues, preventative care, crisis intervention, and conflict resolution for individuals, families and teams.

What kind of help are you looking for?

  • Counseling/Therapy: Alex is a Clinical Psychologist and Karen is a Marriage and Family Therapist.  Both are professionally trained in assessment, diagnosis and treatment of major and minor mental health problems.

  • MK/TCK (Third Culture Kid) issues—for children and adults: The SDCT is committed to helping TCK children and adults  explore the full range of their experience in order to accept themselves and transition effectively into meaningful and fruitful lives.

  • Conflict Resolution and Mediation:  We want to assist team leaders and team members who desire help in coming to resolution in a conflict situation. Resolving conflict graciously is a core kingdom value.  We can advise and participate on-site as requested.

  • Crisis Intervention: The SDCTeam desires to be of immediate and practical assistance to team leaders if and when crises arise from such things as natural disasters, witnessing/experiencing trauma, to marriage blow-ups or suicidal thoughts.

  • Trauma Response: When natural disasters or intensive spiritual warfare crises ignite on the field, several of the SDCTeam are available for immediate phone consultations, email conversations and/or emergency field visits.
