GENERAL

Are my gifts tax-deductible?

Yes. CRM (Church Resource Ministries) is recognized by the IRS as a non-profit, tax-exempt religious organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service code. Our Federal Identification Number (FIN) is 95-3523150. As with all non-profits, CRM maintains sole discretion over any gifts made to the organization. Please email giving@crmleaders.org if you'd like a copy of our non-profit tax exempt status letter.

How is CRM committed to good stewardship and financial accountability?

CRM is committed to financial accountability and is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA). ECFA provides accreditation to leading Christian nonprofit organizations that demonstrate compliance with established standards. Copies of CRM’s audited financial statements are available upon request.

How are CRM staff paid?

Our staff rely on God’s provision for their salaries and expenses, which are provided through the gifts of ministry partners, churches, and friends. Each staff member works within an established budget system determined by the CRM Board of Directors.

If there are not enough funds given in any month, CRM does not subsidize deficits in staff accounts. If there are surpluses in any given month, the funds roll over to meet future needs.

How can I be confident my online giving is secure?

CRM uses industry-standard security systems and software technologies to protect against unauthorized access to your financial information. This includes using encrypted technology to protect credit card and bank processing information.

Will my gifts be used toward their preferenced intent?

All gifts made to CRM are used under the direction and discretion of CRM's management and Board of Directors. CRM maintains complete control and administration over the use of donated funds. As much as possible, in keeping with the organization’s policies and priorities, funds will be applied as preferenced.

What is CRM’s policy regarding privacy?

CRM is committed to protecting your privacy. Any and all information submitted by you to us will not be sold or shared with any other organizations or companies. Your personal information is handled in a safe and responsible manner.

Will CRM refund a gift?

As a general policy, CRM does not refund gifts. Please email us if you have any questions.


RECEIPTS

Will I receive a receipt for my gift?

CRM provides one consolidated year-end receipt for tax purposes for those who give by credit card or electronic fund transfer (EFT). Individual receipts are provided for all gifts made by personal check.

What happens if I need another copy of my receipt?

Please contact us and we will be happy to send you a duplicate. Contact Ministry Partner Services at (800) 777-6658 x122 or by emailing giving@crmleaders.org.


ELECTRONIC FUND TRANSFER

Can I give by electronic fund transfer (EFT) from my bank account?

You may set up a one-time or recurring (monthly, quarterly, or annual) gift from your bank account online or by filling out a pledge card and sending it to our office through one of the following methods:

  • Email: Scan the form and email it to giving@crmleaders.org
  • Mail: Attention your mail to "CRM: Ministry Partner Services" and send it to 1240 N. Lakeview Ave, Ste 120, Anaheim, CA 92807
  • Fax: Send a fax to the attention of Ministry Partner Services at (714) 779-0189

* Please note that EFT's are charged on the 3rd or 18th of the month.

How do I change my EFT information?

You may request a change online or by sending us a letter or an updated pledge card through one of the following methods:

  • Email: Scan the letter or form and email it to giving@crmleaders.org

CREDIT CARD GIFTS

Can I give automatically through a credit card?

You may set up a one-time or recurring (monthly, quarterly, or annual) gift that is automatically charged to your credit card. You may give online or contact our office at (800) 777-6658 x122 to make a gift via credit card.

* Please note that credit card gifts are processed on the 20th of the month or the first business day following the 20th.

Are there fees for gifts made through a credit card?

There are no fees charged to your card, but CRM is charged up to 4% for processing credit card transactions. Giving by electronic fund transfer (EFT) from your bank account is a significantly less expensive way for CRM to process your gift and allows us to put more of your gift toward ministry. Giving by EFT rather than credit card saves tens of thousands of dollars each year.

Download a pledge card and mail it to us at the address listed above if you'd like to make a gift by EFT or switch your giving to EFT. You can also give by EFT through our online giving system.

How do I change my credit card information?

To protect the privacy of your credit card information, please update your information using our online giving system or by contacting Ministry Partner Services at (800) 777-6658 x122.


OTHER GIFTS

Does CRM accept non-cash gifts?

Yes. If you have a specific item you would like to give, please contact Ministry Partner Services at (800) 777-6658 x122 or by emailing giving@crmleaders.org.

Does CRM accept stock gifts?

Yes. We service our stock gifts through the National Christian Foundation (NCF). To initiate this process or for more information, please contact Ministry Partner Services at (800) 777-6658 x122 or by emailing giving@crmleaders.org.

Can I give through my bank’s online bill-pay service? If so, how do I do that?

Yes. While we prefer to set up an automatic bank transfer for you through EFT (which helps us process more accurately and quickly), you can also use your bank’s bill-pay service. If you choose to use your bank’s bill-pay service, please make sure the check is made payable to “Church Resource Ministries” and include your donor number as well as the four-digit fund number and last name of the staff member you wish to support in the “memo” or “account number” line. This information is important in order to ensure your gift is credited correctly.
