General

Are my gifts tax-deductible?

Yes. CRM (Church Resource Ministries) is recognized by the IRS as a non-profit, tax-exempt religious organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service code. Our Federal Identification Number (FIN) is 95-3523150. As with all non-profits, CRM maintains sole discretion over any gifts made to the organization. Please email giving@crmleaders.org if you'd like a copy of our non-profit tax exempt status letter.

In what ways can I make a gift to CRM?

There are a number of ways to give to CRM: with a credit card, check, or debit card; online, in the mail, or over the phone; or by giving gifts of stock, real estate, and through Amazon Smile. Click here to see a full list of the ways you could give.

How is CRM committed to good stewardship and financial accountability?

CRM is committed to financial accountability and is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA). ECFA provides accreditation to leading Christian nonprofit organizations that demonstrate compliance with established standards. Copies of CRM’s audited financial statements are available upon request.

How are CRM staff paid?

Our staff rely on God’s provision for their salaries and expenses, which are provided through the gifts of ministry partners, churches, and friends. Each staff member works within an established budget system determined by the CRM Board of Directors.

If there are not enough funds given in any month, CRM does not subsidize deficits in staff accounts. If there are surpluses in any given month, the funds roll over to meet future needs.

How can I be confident my online giving is secure?

CRM uses industry-standard security systems and software technologies to protect against unauthorized access to your financial information. This includes using encrypted technology to protect credit card and bank processing information.

Will my gifts be used toward their preferenced intent?

We make every possible effort to apply donations to their intended purpose. Subject to IRS rules regarding non-profit organizations, contributions are made with the understanding that CRM and its Board of Directors has complete control and administration over all donated funds. In the unlikely event that we cannot honor your preference, we will contact you for a new preference. If we cannot obtain a new preference from you, your gift will be used where most needed.

What is CRM’s policy regarding privacy?

CRM is committed to protecting your privacy. Any and all information submitted by you to us will not be sold or shared with any other organizations or companies. Your personal information is handled in a safe and responsible manner.

Will CRM refund a gift?

As a general policy, CRM does not refund gifts. Please email us if you have any questions.

Receipts

Will I receive a receipt for my gift?

CRM provides individual receipts for all transactions made by personal check, money order, EFT, and credit card. Checks and money orders are receipted through the mail. Credit cards and EFT's are receipted through email. A consolidated year-end receipt will be mailed to you at the end of the year.

What happens if I need another copy of my receipt?

An ongoing year-to-date receipt is available at any time from your Mission Portal account. If you prefer not to use Mission Portal or cannot access your receipt, contact us and we will be happy to help you establish a Mission Portal account or send you a duplicate receipt. Electronic Fund Transfer

Can I give by electronic fund transfer (EFT) from my bank account?

You may set up a one-time or recurring (monthly, quarterly, or annual) gift from your bank account online or by filling out a pledge card and sending it to our office through one of the following methods:

  • Email: Scan the form and email it to giving@crmleaders.org
  • Mail: Attention your mail to "CRM: Ministry Partner Services" and send it to 1240 N. Lakeview Ave, Ste 120, Anaheim, CA 92807
  • Fax: Send a fax to the attention of Ministry Partner Services at (714) 779-0189


How do I change my EFT information?

You can make changes to EFT information through your Mission Portal account or by sending us a letter or updated pledge card through one of the following methods:

  • Email: Scan the letter or form and email it to giving@crmleaders.org
  • Mail: Attention your mail to "CRM: Ministry Partner Services" and send it to 1240 N. Lakeview Ave, Ste 120, Anaheim, CA 92807

Credit Card Gifts

Can I give automatically through a credit card?

You may set up a one-time or recurring (monthly, quarterly, or annual) gift that is automatically charged to your credit card. You may give online or contact our office at (800) 777-6658 to make a gift via credit card.

Are there fees for gifts made through a credit card?

There are no fees charged to your card, but CRM is charged up to 4% for processing credit card transactions. Giving by electronic fund transfer (EFT) from your bank account is a significantly less expensive way for CRM to process your gift and allows us to put more of your gift toward ministry. Giving by EFT rather than credit card saves tens of thousands of dollars each year.

You can switch to EFT through your Mission Portal account, make a gift by EFT online, or send a pledge card to the address listed above.

How do I change my credit card information?

To protect the privacy of your credit card information, please update your information by contacting Ministry Partner Services at (800) 777-6658.


Other Gifts

Does CRM accept non-cash gifts?

Yes. If you have a specific item you would like to give, please contact Ministry Partner Services at (800) 777-6658 or by emailing giving@crmleaders.org.

Does CRM accept stock gifts?

Yes. We service our stock gifts through the National Christian Foundation (NCF). To initiate this process or for more information, please contact Ministry Partner Services at (800) 777-6658 or by emailing giving@crmleaders.org.

Can I give through my bank’s online bill-pay service? If so, how do I do that?

Yes. While we prefer to set up an automatic bank transfer for you through EFT (which helps us process more accurately and quickly), you can also use your bank’s bill-pay service. If you choose to do this, please make sure the check is made payable to “Church Resource Ministries” and include your donor number as well as the four-digit fund number and last name of the staff member you wish to support in the “memo” or “account number” line. This information is important in order to ensure your gift is credited correctly. If you are not sure what your donor number is, please contact Ministry Partner Services at (800) 777-6658 or by emailing giving@crmleaders.org.

Is CRM listed in the Amazon Smile program?

Yes. You can help support CRM even while you're shopping on Amazon! Just select CRM as your designated charity at smile.amazon.com. The easiest way to find us in the list of options is to search for "Church Resource Ministries Anaheim".
